Fall is here! Even in north central Texas we’re getting cooler weather after a record-breaking hot summer. And with the cooling temperatures I’ve gotten excited about knitting scarves. I found a ruffled scarf pattern and have changed it up just a bit. It is such a simple pattern that gives beautiful results.

Easy Ruffled Scarves for Fall

You will need size 11 (US) knitting needles and 1 skein of yarn. I made one scarf with worsted weight yarn but really like the more lacy look of the one I’m making with sport weight yarn.

Instructions:

Cast on 20.

Knit across.

K 8. Turn and K back to end of row.

K 6. Turn and K back to end of row.

K 4. Turn and K back to end of row.

K 20 across.

Continue in the pattern to desired length, ending with a K 20 row. Bind off.

Enjoy!
