In my last post Dec. 28, 2011, I mentioned that I had knitted a baby blanket from a knitting pattern in  Knit with Deborah NorvilleI made that about a year ago but didn’t make a photo of the completed blnket. The photo blow, though, is from one that my husband made of me knitting it while relaxing on the front porch of a wonderful log cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains. I knitted it using worsted weight yarn and Size 9 circular knitting needles as per the knitting pattern instructions.

I am now making a baby blanket using the same pattern and knitting needles but using #3 lighter weight yarn, Baby Bee Sweet Delight Pomp yarn in bare blue from Hobby Lobby. I considered many patterns but chose this to make this one again. Although the pattern may look a bit complicated, it is actually quite easy to knit. It is for a baby boy to be born in June, so I wanted to knit a lighter blanket, and I love the way it is turning out. Here is a picture of a corner of it as it is so far.

Happy knitting!
