Is there a better way to learn new knitting skills than taking a FREE online mini-class? Well, that is exactly what Craftsy is offering! And not just one class but THREE!

Anne Hanson, owner of Knitspot, teaches Online Knitting Class: Ins and Outs of Grafting a mini-class that demonstrates grafting techniques for untying garter, seed, and stockinette stitches. She shows an invisible join for with lace-weight knits and across cables and ribbing. To top it off, she teaches a song that will help you remember when to knit and when to purl.

Another Free Online Knitting Class “Creative Cabled Necklines” is taught by lifelong knitter and fashion knitwear designer Fiona Ellis. Learn to create areas of interest with lines and textures, how to modify patterns so your cables run into or around the neckline, how to add functional, stylish I-cords, and how to extend stitches past the edge of the garment to create an amazing new look.

Carole Feller is a knitwear designer and teacher as well as author of Contemporary Irish Knits. Her Free Online Knitting Class  “Short Rows” teaches four different techniques for making short rows easy to knit.  She also explains how to use short-row shaping to create a better garment fit.
